1. Handprint Tree

Paint your child’s hand brown to create the tree trunk and branches. Once dry, let them add fingerprints in red, orange, yellow, and green as colorful fall leaves.

2. Footprint Fox

Turn an orange footprint into an adorable fox! Add ears, a fluffy white-tipped tail, eyes, and a cute black nose with paint or markers.

3. Footprint Turkey

A Thanksgiving classic! Use a brown handprint for the turkey’s body, then decorate each finger with bright fall colors to become feathers.

4. Footprint Pumpkin

Paint your child’s foot orange to create a pumpkin shape. Add a green stem, curly vine, and a smiling jack-o’-lantern face if you’d like.

5. Handprint Leaf Wreath

Cut out several painted handprints in different fall colors and glue them into a circle to create a beautiful autumn wreath.

6. Footprint Owl

A brown footprint makes the perfect owl body. Add large googly eyes, wings, tiny feet, and a branch for the owl to perch on.

7. Handprint Acorn

Use a brown handprint as the base of a giant acorn, then paint or cut out a textured acorn cap on top.

8. Footprint Hedgehog

Transform a brown footprint into a sweet hedgehog by adding a face and painting colorful leaves around its back to look like autumn quills.

9. Footprint Scarecrow

Use a footprint as the scarecrow body. Paint the scarecrows overalls a different color. Draw a smiling face, plaid shirt, straw hat and a stick from the bottom.

10. Footprint Squirrel

An upside-down footprint becomes a cute squirrel! Add a fluffy tail, tiny ears, and an acorn in its paws.

11. Handprint Corn on the Cob

Paint the palm yellow for the corn kernels and add green construction paper husks around the outside.

12. Footprint Candy Corn

Divide the footprint into three sections—yellow toes, orange middle, and white heel—to create a festive candy corn decoration.

13. Handprint Sunflower

Paint your child’s hand yellow and place yellow handprints around a brown circle to create the flower. Add a green stem and leaves for a cheerful fall flower.

14. Footprint Ghosts

Paint a white footprint to make a friendly ghost. Add smiling pumpkins, colorful leaves, and a fall background around it.

15. Handprint “Thankful” Keepsake

Paint one hand in your favorite fall color and stamp it onto cardstock. Around the handprint, write things your child is thankful for this season. Date it and save it as a yearly keepsake.

16. Footprint Bat

Paint your child’s foot black and turn it into a spooky-cute bat! Add wings, tiny fangs, and googly eyes for a fun Halloween decoration.

17. Handprint Spider

Use a black handprint as the spider’s body, then add extra painted or drawn legs around it. Finish with a web in the background for a creepy-cute effect.

18. Footprint Witch

Turn a green or purple footprint into a silly witch! Add a pointed hat, broomstick, and a smiling face for a not-so-scary Halloween friend.

19. Handprint Frankenstein

Paint the hand green and turn it into Frankenstein’s face. Add stitches, a flat head shape, and bolts on the sides for a classic Halloween character.

20. Handprint Leaf Garland

Create a sweet fall garland using handprint leaves in all your favorite autumn colors! Paint your child’s hands in shades of orange, yellow, red, and brown, press them onto paper, and cut out the handprints once they’re dry. Arrange the leaves along a piece of string or twine and use small pieces of tape to secure them in place for an easy, kid-friendly fall decoration
